Let’s Talk Politics and Religion at Work!

March 3, 2017

fedOK, let’s not, but my headline writer just finished a “clickbait” course. If you’ve been in the working world for at least a couple of hours, you know not to talk politics or religion at work. They’re two of the Top 5 Things You Never Discuss at Work, from Excelle – Networking for the career-minded woman. That’s a site… Who knew?

Anyway, since I’ve successfully waded into the shallow end of these deepwater topics, let’s float over to the relative safety of government compliance. Specifically, Federal government compliance. In case you missed it, there’s a new administration in Washington DC, and they may have a different perspective on regulatory affairs than their predecessors. If you’re a Kronos customer, you likely have responsibility for compliance issues related to your workforce, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act, paid sick leave, and joint employer regulations. If so, please plan to join us for a webinar with SHRM on March 14, 2017, at 04:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Preparing for Compliance Changes Under a New Administration.

Cliff Stevenson, principal analyst at Brandon Hall Group, and Kronos Director of Product Marketing Kristen Wylie will outline how your organization can build a stronger compliance strategy. You’ll get valuable information on:

  • How your organization’s level of readiness compares to that of your peers amid changes in administration and policies
  • Minimizing risk through technology and automation
  • Finding your organization on the compliance climate matrix and learning real-world next steps

I hope you can join us. And tune in next week, when I won’t be blogging about religion.
