“…choose how to live…”

Screenshot_2015-03-12-09-25-30I’m at a bit of a loss this morning. In the past couple months, my mom has lost a sister and brother. She and her remaining family are in that zone, but really, is there a zone? People of all ages die every day, so there’s no zone except your own, and the lucky among us don’t know when we’ll exit it. My former Kronos co-worker Dave just found out… Months. Most of us live our lives in sort of an infinite illusion, like the ride will go on forever. I waste time, and maybe you feel the same way about yourself. It’s never too late to change. Until it is. Many elements of our lives we choose how to live. Will you look back with regret about any of them? If you think so, choose to change. Recently, renowned neurologist Oliver Sachs learned he has terminal liver cancer. His article in the New York Times is a worthy read. Dr. Sachs newly informed perspective is a lesson for all of us.

“There is no time for anything inessential.”
