What are Kronos Optimization Services?

January 13, 2015

When I get asked what are Optimization Services, my response is to describe the 4 areas I think the Kronos solution can be “optimized.” First though, think about the word and its definition:

I’m in marketing, and since it would be somewhat clumsy to call our offerings “as good or as effective as possible services,” The buzzword “optimization” seemed to fit, but does it? I’m trying to come up with a simpler (but cool) term. When I think of optimization, technical performance factors like database, processor, and network performance first come to mind, but technology is just one element of how a Kronos solution can be optimized:

  1. Application – If your initial implementation was years ago, does your software configuration match your organization and needs of today?
  2. Integration – Is there value in integrating other of your enterprise software solutions (ERP, CRM, HR, etc.) with Kronos?
  3. Process – Have your workforce management processes changed over time, or are they the best they can be? How effectively are your employees using the system?
  4. Technology – Is your system responsive to your users?

Again though, I’m a marketing guy, so you have to take what I say with a grain (or two) of salt. Kevin Haughty is one of our Technology Services Managers, and someone who actually helps customers use Kronos “as good or as effective as possible.” Thanks Kevin.
