Workforce Fantasy (Football)

fantasy footballI’m not a fantasy sports guy. In fact, my interest in sports is waning. There’s so much else to occupy my time like reading a book or spending time with my granddaughter… while we watch hockey. There’s a mildly amusing article today on titled 8 Guys Who Will Be At Your Fantasy Football Draft. I won’t be one of them, but some will likely be your employees since “31 million working-age Americans play fantasy football.” To put it into language businesses understand, Challenger, Gray & Christmas, a Chicago outplacement consulting firm estimates fantasy football is costing businesses around $13.4 billion a year.

Sorry, but unless we’re coming out with a new product called Workforce Fantasy, I don’t think Kronos solutions can help, not even those magical ones in the cloud… Still, don’t get all worked up about it. Fantasy football is just one workplace distraction that helps build employee morale, so let’s get those teams picked!
