Give Inspired With Kronos

May 7, 2014

SEGL Martini Spring Fling 2014At Kronos, “Give Inspired” is an adage that describes our commitment to the communities we work and live in. One of the community programs that has inspired me the past 4 years is Summer Experiences in Greater Lowell (SEGL). Why SEGL? Well, my mom was born in Lowell, so there’s that. Plus, Kronos is a “Platinum” sponsor, and our Barb Vlacich is a SEGL co-chair. (Play)Joyce  is another co-chair, and paired with Alison Kalman, they form a devastating “Krejčí-Lucic-Iginla” top line (although not so far in the Stanley Cup Playoffs) for scoring donations!

Coach Norm Bazin of the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks

Hey, speaking of hockey, UMass-Lowell Head Coach Norm Bazin is this years SEGL honoree. Coach Bazin’s Riverhawks won the Hockey East tournament this year, but his contribution to the community only begins with hockey. Barb tells me the coach is also an inspirational speaker with a great story.

Here’s my ask: Help me help Barb, Joyce, Alison, and everyone working hard for SEGL to honor Coach Bazin and help kids this summer in Greater Lowell. You have options, so choose one or all!

  1. Buy a ticket and join us for the 2014 SEGL Martini Spring Fling, five weeks from today, Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Vesper Country Club in Tyngsboro, MA beginning at 5:30.
  2. Donate a prize for Spring Fling Silent Auction. Hey, I’m writing this post on the iPad2 I scored in 2011!
  3. Tee off the next day, Friday, June 13th at the Townsend Ridge Country Club in the 20th Annual Lantheus Medical Imaging Charity Golf Event! Last year’s tournament raised $27,000 for SEGL!

Hey, help a brother out. I’ll buy you a martini at the Fling!
