Ready for Facebook Searches and the ACA?

October 11, 2013

facebook memeIt seems Facebook has removed the ability of users to make their profiles unsearchable. It’s not an issue for me since I’m pretty “out there” with this blog, a (Play)Blog, a LinkedIn profile, a Google+ thing, Instagrams, and Tweetings. One thing I don’t have is a Pinterest account. Maybe I’ll get one of those to “pin” all the clever memes I find. Nah, forget that. I quit posting about politics on Facebook this week. wonka obamacare memeYeah, I read something with a bizarre quote about the Affordable Care Act from a high-profile politician that cemented the pointlessness for me. While I think this person should be in a padded room, I realized some of my Facebook friends “like” this public figure, support their position, and no amount of counter-points, links to articles, or clever memes from me would change that.

The ACA, or “Obamacare” as it is often referred, is a big change for individuals and organizations, particularly the “small” slice of the Small to Mid-Sized (SMB) business segment. This week at the HR Tech conference, Kronos announced the latest version of our Workforce Ready SaaS (that means cloud…) product, a solution designed specifically for SMB’s, and including new functionality to assist organizations with ACA compliance:

  • Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance – With ACA deadlines looming, a new ACA Manager™ application helps SMBs proactively manage their ACA compliance strategy across the entire organization, including both part- and full-time employees. With ACA Manager, SMBs gain:
    • Comprehensive visibility – Preconfigured current and historical reporting with the ability to drill down to the individual employee level.
    • Awareness and enforcement – Notifies managers when an employee’s ACA eligibility status changes and allows organizations to institute rules that enforce scheduling strategies.
    • Unified administration – Easily automates affordability calculations and the benefit enrollment process with a single record for each employee across HR/benefits administration, time and attendance, and payroll.

Sounds helpful, just like this 1:38 vintage film on the product. Now I have to go tell everyone on Facebook that I had an egg sandwich for breakfast.
