Ginger, Usha Chatterjee of the United Way, and (Play)Joyce

It’s been a hell of a week, with high cortisol inducing events Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I don’t know what’s worse, being vulnerable to lawyers, a loved one, or the press… Anyway, after that trifecta, being at a networking event last night was a welcome respite, and those usually stress me out. (Play)Joyce and I attended the United Way’s Community Celebration where she was nominated for Employee Campaign Manager of the Year. Her 2012 co-chair, Ginger Bailey Pearson was also nominated for (and won) Volunteer of the Year! The work these women do leading corporate efforts to “give back” to our communities is worthy of honor, and to see the results on the kids benefiting from their Summer Experiences in Greater Lowell (SEGL) charity is humbling. So, what’s this got to do with technology services? Well, 3 things:

  1. It’s my blog.
  2. My co-worker, mentor, and friend Barb Vlacich is joining (Play)Joyce as SEGL co-chair this year!
  3. What are you doing to give back to your communities?

Oh, and since it’s Friday, here’s a movie. It’s surreal… with clouds. It was a dark and cloudy night…
