Time and Numbers

maddy drawingNot everything can be measured with numbers. Love, for example. Unless it’s the love of money, it’s hard to measure. I guess it’s like Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart’s description of porn, “I know it when I see it.” Then there’s art. No, not the so-called “priceless” variety that always seems to fetch a price, but say, a child’s drawing. Worthless to many, but priceless to some.

“Collectively, the use of labor analytics will achieve an estimated cost savings of $30 million over the next six years.”

That’s worth a measure of your time, isn’t it?

It’s not big data that’s the big deal — it’s what you do with it.
