Cheech and Chong and Ben?

December 20, 2012

Cheech-Chong-BenAccording to, “Benjamin Franklin started the first Hemp paper mill.” A University of Delaware site states Big Ben used hemp string in his most famous experiment. It seems Mr. Franklin was into hemp. Now I’m not saying the “Water American” had a water bong or ever got high, but the man did fly a kite tied to a metal key in a fierce electric storm… Just sayin’. Ben also famously opined, “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy,” and “In wine there is wisdom.” He must have sipped his share, because his insight flowed freely. Here’s a little more…

“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”

“You may delay, but time will not.” I think there’s a song about that

“Many people die at twenty five and aren’t buried until they are seventy five.”

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

“Genius without education is like silver in the mine.”

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

You know where I’m going, right? Ben Franklin was into mind expansion. Me too. I get high on learning stuff. The last quote was the flash that produced this post. “Involve me and I learn…” It made me think of our KnowledgePass education portal, and specifically the “sandboxes” it provides to practice and reinforce skills learned in KnowledgePass courses like:

  • WTK 6.3 – New Features Overview for the Project Team and Application Administrators
  • Workforce HR 6.3 -New Features Overview for the Project Team and Administrators
  • Workforce HR/Workforce Payroll 6.3 – New Features Overview for the Project Team and Administrators

And here’s a tip: Quickly find a sandbox by entering the word “sandbox” into the KnowledgePass Search field. Check it out.

KnowledgePass… It’ll get you high.
