Working(Out) Smarter

September 28, 2012

During a recent uplink of data into my personal UNIVAC, I saved all the 0’s and 1’s comprising “Working Out Doesn’t Just Make You Stronger, It Makes You Smarter,” and stored it in my Dropbox Cloud for exercise later…

When I exercise my brain fires like illegal fireworks on the 4th of July… randomly and unpredictably. I attributed it to general benefits of endorphins but I learned in the article that it’s actually “brain-derived neurotrophic factor,” which also may increase the size of your hippocampus, and who doesn’t want that? I’ve actually started using my Galaxy Nexus to listen to music while working out instead of my iPod fatty, so that when I have an idea I can record it. Otherwise, any thought of mine is likely to sink into the stormy soup like the Edmund Fitzgerald.

One study indicated that, “on average, an employee who exercises regularly is 15% more efficient.” Maybe that’s why we now have cross-training, yoga classes, and a brand new gym at our Chelmsford campus… As two of the fitness icons here, you know (Work)Joyce and I will be there… You can, too. We’ve still got many job opening here, so briskly walk your fingers over to and check us out!

Well, I did get the tour of the new facility and get my badge activated. Now the issue will be to use the spanky new fitness center – (Work) Joyce
