The Cloud – So in it’s out?

Yesterday I retweeted a GigaOM tweet titled, “When can we stop talking about the cloud?” With the valuations of SaaS providers growing at nearly double that of other software companies between 2009 and 2011, and with Cisco predicting a 12 fold increase in Internet traffic attributed just to cloud over the next 3 years, my answer is:

“Oh, not for a while.”

What does this all mean for Kronos customers? Simply put, yes, you can use the Kronos software as a service. I love this depiction of cloud offerings from It helps visualize and simplify the whole “cloud” thing. For the Kronos Workforce Central suite, we can manage the whole technology stack (or just part of it) and you simply enjoy the benefits of using the software. Actually, we’ve been doing it since 2006. So if you’re considering Kronos or are upgrading from an older version of Workforce Central, you should consider using the solutions from the cloud instead. So just ask. We’ll still talk to you about the cloud.
